Spencer House is a Grade I listed building in St James, London. The building is owned by the Spencer Family Trust and is leased to a prestigious banking organisation. Initially the project scope was to carry out a survey of the building’s air conditioning system and provide a condition report. This report highlighted the need for some modifications to be made to the building services equipment.
McLellan carried out a condition survey and then produce a fully costed options report detailing various plant combinations that would be suitable for Spencer House. Of the options presented, a suitable operational solution was selected which would also create the least disruption for the building’s occupants.
McLellan produced a detailed design of the Mechanical, Electrical and Controls systems and also the structural work required for the installation. McLellan was also responsible for the planning and listed building contents necessary for a Grade I listed building.
After the design was put out to competitive tender and a contractor selected, McLellan project managed the installation successfully through to completion.
